The Lord blesses abundantly

When we left the UK we gave away everything we had - from furniture to clothes to toys to household goods.  One of those items was our piano.

Our piano we had there was nothing spectacular.  We bought it when we arrived for just a few hundred pounds.  But it was a good instrument.  It had a good tone, it kept in tune really well and the children were doing well on it for their lessons.  But of course we couldn't bring it with us when we moved.  It was too big and would take up too much space on the boat.  So we gave it away.

And now we are in Canada starting over again and one of the things we need to replace is the piano.  We feel music lessons are very important because the bible talks so much about praising the Lord with music.  And as well as that learning music develops character and it has also been shown that people who learn music do better in their other academic studies.  So we strongly encourage the children to learn an instrument and if they are so inclined, more than one instrument.  So replacing the piano was very high on our list of things to do.

We looked online at pianos for sale and found a few which seemed they might suit our needs.  One of those in particular stood out as being most suitable - it was in our price range and it was a smaller piano.  We were hoping for something small this time as our house is very "compact".

Big Mr went out to take a look at it and thought it would work very well for us.  He got to chatting with the owners and it turns out they are a Christian family as well. They were quite surprised and pleased to hear how we had followed the Lord's leading to Britain and back again.

We called the family the next day to say we would purchase their piano, but to our amazement they said that they had prayed about it and felt that the Lord wanted them to GIVE US their piano!!

Praise the Lord for his abundant blessings!!!!  We are so excited that the Lord has chosen to bless us with a piano.

Isaiah 53:1-3: Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
